"A Crooked Corn Stalk Can Grow A Straight Ear"
Billie Jean, now a high school drop out, is stuck in a rut! Paralyzed by her intense fears and self doubt she's left unable to dig herself out. Waiting in the distance is her dream of one day becoming a prima ballerina. Are the opinionated expectations of her outspoken family to much for her to push past? In director Dominique Dawson's production of BLACK GIRL we see a girl, who in search of her mothers garden, finds her own.
